Updated : 2023-08-29

As autumn sets in, Maicun village in Huangpu district is emerging as a very popular trekking spot for both locals and tourists.

What were once stone quarries atop Shiya Peak have now been transformed into two picturesque 'heavenly ponds' - drawing nature lovers from far and wide.

Apart from its captivating landscape, Maicun offers a culinary adventure for foodies. Traditional Hakka dishes, which are an integral part of the region's rich gastronomic heritage, are served with flair and finesse.

Adding a modern twist, a newly introduced train-themed restaurant has sparked a lot of attention, offering both a novel dining experience and a nod to the village's continuous innovation in the culinary arts.

This autumn, Maicun is inviting travelers to experience the perfect harmony of nature and taste, promising an unforgettable journey.
