Guangzhou intercity rail project nears completion

Guangzhou's latest city rail line, commonly referred to as the Xintang-Guangzhou North Station Intercity Railway, has reached a pivotal milestone with the completion of its main construction stage. 

Spanning 78 kilometers and featuring 13 stations, the new railway is projected to be fully operational by the end of 2023.

Once operational, it promises to significantly reduce travel time to key locations such as Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport, Guangzhou North Railway Station, and even Shenzhen and Hong Kong. This will greatly enhance the travel convenience for residents in Huangpu district.

In related news, the second phase of Guangzhou's Metro Line 7 has entered its operational testing stage. Coupled with planned road improvements to ease traffic between Huangpu and Zengcheng districts, these infrastructure advancements are an integral part of the vision for a "1-hour transport circle" within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
