Huangpu releases overall territorial space plan

Recently, the draft for the Overall Territorial Space Plan of Huangpu District (2021-35) was announced, making overall arrangements for the development and protection of territorial space within Huangpu district.

Reasonably protecting and developing Huangpu's territorial space resources will provide a guarantee for accelerating the coordinated development of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City, Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City, and Guangzhou International Bio Island.

The plan proposes that Huangpu will become a leading area for technological innovation, a benchmark area for modern industrial systems, and a model area for ecological civilization construction by 2025. By 2035, Huangpu will become a district for innovation, openness, ecology, civilization, and happiness. It will also achieve the modernization of the district's territorial space governance system.

Huangpu will enhance its efforts in regional coordination and continue to promote high-quality development. The plan also indicate that Huangpu will integrate into the Golden Inner Bay of the Pearl River Estuary. It will connect with Nansha and Tianhe to jointly build the Guangzhou Vitality and Innovation Corridor. It will join hands with Zengcheng to cooperate with Shenzhen and Dongguan. It will also cooperate with Baiyun and Conghua districts.

By optimizing the structure and layout of industrial land and housing, Huangpu aims to contribute to the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's international science and technology innovation center.

Huangpu will also shape high-quality and diversified public spaces to build a more livable district.
