Tsinghua University's practice base to open in Huangpu

The administrative committee of Guangzhou Development District and Tsinghua University recently signed an important agreement.

They'll join forces to build the Huangpu Graduate Social Practice Base, which is Tsinghua University's first facility of its kind in Guangzhou.

Under the agreement, both parties will engage in cooperation in areas such as scientific services, education and training, as well as outcome transformations.

The collaboration aims to promote the deep integration of Tsinghua University's innovative resources with Huangpu's industries and projects and facilitate the landing of high-quality technological achievements.

The establishment of the facility is another innovative measure to deepen the cooperation between Huangpu district and universities, promote the development of key sectors and attract top talent.

Doctoral students from Tsinghua University visit Huangpu district on July 7-9.

In recent years, Huangpu district has strengthened its efforts to attract talent, attracting over 190 PhDs and postdoctoral researchers in the first half of the current year alone.

To date, the district has brought in 118 academician projects, more than 1,423 outstanding staff and over 380,000 personnel with university degrees or above, maintaining its position as the leader in the city in terms of the volume of people recruited.

Moving forwards, Huangpu will introduce more precision industrial talent policies, enrich talent exchanges and cooperation platforms, and improve the level of talent services.
