Huangpu powers up with 2 new major projects

Two significant projects in Guangzhou's Huangpu district have recently commenced operation: the first phase of the Hengyun East Gas-Electricity project and the new production line for Hengyun's 2 Gigawatt-hour (GWh) energy storage products.

The East Gas-Electricity project can supply 45 billion Kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity and an annual heating capability of 2 million metric tons to the Huangpu district and downtown Guangzhou. On the other hand, the 2 GWh energy storage production line can reach an annual output value of up to 2 billion yuan ($300 million).

These advancements emphasize Huangpu's leading position in industrial development within Guangdong province. The East Gas-Electricity project employs gas-steam combined cycle technology that promises energy-saving and environmental benefits. The 2 GWh energy storage production line features an automated design and flexible production processes. It is set to push forward the development of novel electrical systems and the energy storage industry.

With these two additions, Huangpu's trillion-yuan manufacturing initiative is poised to receive a significant boost in energy support.
