Huangpu hits record with 3 new power substations

In an impressive display of infrastructural prowess, Guangzhou's Huangpu district has commissioned three 220-kilovolt substations within a mere month, setting a new record in the history of its power grid development.

The Shuyu, Daoxing, and Shankou substations are located in Jiufo Street and were inaugurated on June 2, 29, and 30 respectively. Their investments totaled 600 million yuan ($92 million), 200 million yuan, and 180 million yuan each. 

The successful commissioning of these facilities is projected to enhance the region's power supply capacity by 600 gigavolt-amperes, thereby adequately catering to the electricity demands of key enterprises such as CanSemi and Beigene.

Going forward, Huangpu is committed to continuing its momentum in power infrastructure development. It aims to transform itself into a pivotal hub for scientific and technological innovation within the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area by providing top-notch energy support.
