Huangpu tops nation in listed companies' numbers

The current number of listed companies in Guangzhou's Huangpu district recently climbed to 80. Among the district's total, 10 companies are listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board, which accounts for 60 percent of Guangzhou's total.

As part of a strategic initiative to nurture potential public enterprises, Huangpu district has been implementing the "Enterprise Listing Nursery Cultivation" project, which provides full-process cultivation services to enterprises. The district now holds the title of having the most listed companies among all the economic development zones across China.

Huangpu's commitment to being a manufacturing powerhouse has paid off, as it has formed five industrial clusters that generate over a trillion yuan ($154.5 billion) annually, and three clusters that have a value surpassing 500 billion yuan. The listed companies in Huangpu span 21 industries, with biopharmaceuticals, mechanical equipment, and computer industries taking the lead.

Through comprehensive policies and service measures, Huangpu has been fostering a business environment that encourages companies to be listed. Their support extends from introducing rewarding policies to building an innovation-driven financial service matrix. This full-spectrum backing helps bolster their Initial Public Offering (IPO) capabilities, sustaining the current upward trend in public listings.

With eight companies planning to list, and another 12 in the application process, the district presents a formidable lineup of prospective public enterprises. Huangpu's continuous service provision also helps to accelerate the expansion of its listed companies, which stimulates regional economic development.
