Huangpu lychee festival attracts visitors

The Huangpu district will host a lychee festival from June 30 to July 5, and set to draw in a large number of visitors. As the hometown of lychees in the Lingnan region, Huangpu boasts a lychee cultivation history that spans over 1,000 years.

This year's cultural festival revolves around promoting the high-quality development of the lychee industry. It will feature activities such as lychee picking and music concerts. Participants also have the opportunity to take part in lychee variety taste challenges, with a chance to win the privilege of picking lychees from the ancient lychee trees next year.

The event is also set to bring in over 30 foreign guests to join in the festivities. The festival will set up venues in the Xianjiang community and Yunpu Street respectively. Huangpu aims to utilize this lychee festival to further propel the development of its lychee industry, enhance the influence of Huangpu's lychee brand, and promote comprehensive rural vitalization.
