Huangpu marks 1-yr operation of multilingual service websites

Guangzhou's Huangpu district recently celebrated the first anniversary of the launch of its multilingual service websites for overseas-related affairs, which catered to foreigners, Hong Kong and Macao residents, and overseas Chinese.

These websites feature guidance and information on most overseas-related affairs for those who want to come to Huangpu to start businesses, invest, or find employment. The information on these sites is offered in three languages - English, Japanese, and Korean. In the last year, the page views for all the sites exceeded 20,000.

The websites offer a variety of one-stop services for foreigners and foreign-funded enterprises, including visa applications, talent's green card applications, business start-up applications, business management services, and other affairs.

Data from the Huangpu government shows that these multilingual websites have now gathered information and materials relating to a total of 60 overseas-related affairs. All of these services can be reserved in advance online, especially entry-exit-related affairs, which can even be applied for and processed online.

In addition, the websites have connected their online service reservation systems with the district's government service center. This means that once an appointment request is successfully submitted, the page will coordinate the center's staff and the related departments to prepare corresponding language services for the user's scheduled appointment time.

The multilingual webpages also have mobile versions available for user convenience. With these mobile versions, people can easily browse and view work procedures and guidance information at any time.   

In the future, the municipal government affairs data administration of Huangpu district will launch more online services so that foreigners, Hong Kong and Macao residents, and overseas Chinese can enjoy more efficient, convenient, and accurate government support.
