HTWO Guangzhou, a hydrogen fuel cell factory under Hyundai Motor Group, completed construction in Huangpu district on June 1.

This is Hyundai Motor Group's first overseas base for the R&D, production, and sales of its hydrogen fuel cell systems, with an annual production capacity of 6,500 units.

At the completion ceremony, HTWO Guangzhou signed cooperation agreements with three Chinese enterprises and launched a fuel cell vehicle demonstration application project. It is also planning to promote 1,500 fuel-cell vehicles by 2024.

Huangpu has gathered more than 40 hydrogen energy enterprises, striving to form a 100-billion-level ($15.5-billion-level) hydrogen energy industry cluster by 2030. Hyundai Motor Group will also introduce the world's leading hydrogen energy products to promote the development of the Chinese market.

Huangpu will accelerate the construction of a complete hydrogen energy industry chain and will strive to build a world-class hydrogen energy industry agglomeration area.
