Huangpu technology activity week kicks off

The opening ceremony of the 2023 Huangpu District Science and Technology Week.

On May 23, the opening ceremony for the 2023 Huangpu District Science and Technology Week was held at Yuyan Middle School in Guangzhou, with over 1,000 teachers and students from 14 primary and secondary schools participating.

As part of the series of events planned for Guangzhou Science and Technology Week, this event launched 65 colorful science and technology activities, including a science popularization explanation competition, a science popularization research tour, and an open science class. All of which will focus on showcasing the district's achievements in science and technology innovation.

The award ceremony of the 38th Guangzhou Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition was also held at the opening ceremony. Huangpu district was particularly praised, winning three first prizes, seven second prizes, and 10 third prizes.

Some 23 medicine research institutions, technology enterprises, and science popularization bases from across the district were invited to set up booths at the opening ceremony. Additionally, 19 schools in the district exhibited their achievements in science and technology education at the event site as well.
