GDD launches vitalization plan

The Guangzhou Development District (GDD) - located in Guangzhou, the capital of South China's Guangdong province - held a conference on May 18 at the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Cooperation Innovation Center about the vitalization of its western area. 

During the event, contracts for 10 important projects were signed and the Enterprise Service Commissioner System for GDD's Western Area was announced.

The western area, as the birthplace of GDD, currently contributes around 11 percent to the region's industrial output and 17 percent to its tax revenue.

The GDD is understood to be driving its Western Area Vitalization plan to transform it into a pioneering demonstration district. Moreover, the district has committed itself to promoting the development of the western area and contributing to Guangzhou's high-quality growth.
