Latest progresses on Huangpu section of Guangzhou subway

Recently, Guangzhou Metro announced the latest progresses on its subway construction. Among them, Metro Lines 12 and 13, both of which pass through Huangpu, have each added a new connected section.

At present, civil engineering on Line 12 is now 66 percent complete. Of the 25 stations, 12 have been capped and 13 are still under construction.

In addition, the second phase of Line 13 is going through civil engineering processes, of which 66 percent has been completed. Of the 23 stations, nine have been capped and 14 are still under construction.

Construction on the eastern extension of Line 5 and Phase II of Line 7, which are expected to open within the year, is also being accelerated. All stations on both of these lines have been capped and are expected to open soon.

Once completed, these new stations will make daily travel more convenient for residents.
