The construction of the box girder for the main line of the Conghua-Huangpu Expressway was completed on May 6, laying a solid foundation for the opening of the expressway to the public later this year.

Upon completion, the expressway will connect key areas including China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC), Changlingju, Guangzhou Science City, and the Huangpu Lingang Economic Development Zone. It will facilitate swift travel, taking only half an hour to reach Huangpu Port directly from CSGKC.

The northern section of the Huangpu Tram Line 2 project, which runs from Xiangxue Metro Station to Kaiyuan Avenue East, recently passed its pre-operational safety assessment. Tram Line 2 is expected to commence service shortly.

Moreover, the second phase of Metro Line 7 and the eastern extension of Metro Line 5 are both scheduled to be put into operation by the end of the year.

At present, construction work for the second phase of Line 7 is 97 percent complete. All 11 stations have been topped out and are currently undergoing mechanical and electrical installation.
