Huangpu summit promotes green transformation

The 4th China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Green Development Summit was held in Huangpu district of Guangzhou on April 13. 

At the summit, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Green Digital Trading Park in Huangpu held a signing ceremony for 12 companies who expressed their intention to settle there. 

The trading park has a total investment of about 1.2 billion yuan ($186 million) and is expected to be completed and put into use by 2024. It will attract thousands of leading companies in the industry to move towards the platform economy, green economy, and digital economy. It will also promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries in China, such as petrochemicals.

The summit also released the Blue Book on Green Development of China's Petroleum and Chemical Industry (2021-2022), which comprehensively analyzes the current situation and future prospects of green development in China's petrochemical industry.

Huangpu has been awarded the titles of national demonstration area for ecological civilization construction, national pilot park for the circular economy, national demonstration zone for the comprehensive utilization of new energy, national green park, and national demonstration base for green industries.
