New fast lane construction begins in Huangpu

Construction began on March 29 on the southern section of the new fast lane connecting Guangzhou Science City and China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) in Huangpu district. 

As one of the district's three major transportation projects, the new lane is expected to reduce travel time between the two places to just 13 minutes, strengthening their connections and improving the district's overall transportation network.

The entire lane is 13.5 kilometers long, and the southern section, which is currently under construction, is 6.2 km long. Additionally, the new lane will connect to the Yongjiu Expressway.

The new lane will be a main road in the city, with a dual-direction six-lane design and a speed limit of 60 km per hour. Along the way, four bridges will be built.
