Northern section of Huangpu Tram Line 2 to open

The northern section of the Huangpu Tram Line 2 project, which runs from Xiangxue Metro Station to Kaiyuan Avenue East, recently passed its first pre-operational safety assessment. 

Next, the construction team will carry out any necessary amendments under the expert group's assessment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the tram.

The northern section runs for 4.9 kilometers with eight stations, namely Xiangxue Metro Station, Huangpu Library Station, Xiazhong Road Station, Luofeng Station, Xiangxue Avenue East Station, Xiangxue Park Station, Yuyan Road Station, and Kaiyuan Avenue East Station.

The whole line passes through three streets: Luogang, Yunpu, and Nangang. It has 19 stations with a total length of 14.4 km. While opening, it will link Guangzhou Science City, Guangzhou-Hong Kong Science, and Technology Cooperation Park, and other important areas from north to south, greatly improving travel conditions for businesspeople and those from all walks of society.
