Huangpu champions sci-tech self-sufficiency at Two Sessions

Yuan Yuyu, a deputy to the National People's Congress (NPC) and chairman of Medprin Biotech, and Sun Zhiqiang, a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and president of Ruisong Technology, discussed how to accelerate scientific and technological self-reliance on March 7 while attending the Two Sessions in Beijing.

Yuan said he paid more attention to the content of scientific and technological innovation in the latest government work report, which proposed accelerating the construction of a modern industrial system, focusing on the major industrial chain of manufacturing, and gathering resources to promote research into key technology.

At this year's Two Sessions, China's annual parliamentary meeting, he also suggested ramping up enterprise innovation and deepening the reform of the current mechanisms for evaluating talent, among other issues.

Sun said he was honored to contribute his many years of experience in the field of industrial robots to help the country play a leading role in the robot industry.

In the future, Huangpu district will continue to make efforts to bolster its industrial chain, innovation, and development, as well as forge closer regional economic cooperation, facilitate industrial upgrading, and achieve sci-tech self-reliance.
