Huangpu puts effort into urban transformation

In recent years, Huangpu has focused on eliminating hidden urban safety hazards, promoting the micro-transformation of old residential areas, and improving the attractiveness of the city.

To date, Huangpu has approved 71 comprehensive renovation projects (including 29 old villages, 41 old factories, and one old district), and 79 micro-transformation projects, with a total fixed asset investment of 202.7 billion yuan ($29.4 billion).

In the future, Huangpu will promote the integration of the district and its industries. It will also integrate rural vitalization efforts with development projects by promoting the construction of provincial demonstration areas. In addition, Huangpu plans to build many science and technology industrial parks led by strategic emerging industries, and inherit 701 historical sites.
