Updated : 2023-02-02

The China-French Creative Sustainable Agriculture Industry project and Little Prince Theme Park (hereinafter referred to as the "Romantic Valley project") in Huangpu district recently started construction.

The Romantic Valley project is located on Changling Street, with a total planned area of about 850,000 square meters, a planned construction area of about 23,000 sq m, and a total investment of 500 million yuan ($74 million).

It focuses on integrating romantic elements and design concepts based on the French fairy tale The Little Prince to create the first Little Prince theme park in China.

The park aims to be "Agricultural Disney, Huangpu Romantic Valley," and it is designated to be a national 4A-level scenic spot.

The main design teams of Disney and Universal Studios have been invited to jointly carry out creative design, as well as to upgrade amusement facilities, experience content, technology applications, and the landscape environment to ensure that the park offers a joyous time to visitors.

It will not only highlight the romantic nature of The Little Prince story itself but also integrate the excellent heritage of Chinese farming culture, which is a creative embodiment of the cultural integration of China and France. The park is expected to open in October 2023.
