Huangpu keeps improving transport network

Huangpu has made a number of improvements to its transportation infrastructure. Three roads have opened to traffic and a tunnel will be completed soon.

The Xinlong section of North Chuangxin Avenue, from junhe section of Guangshan Road to Guanghe Expressway, officially opened to traffic on Dec 29, 2022. The total length of the Xinlong section is 2.5 kilometers.

Chuangxin Avenue connects the three major areas of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, Guangzhou Science City and Huangpu Lingang Economic Development Zone. The opening of the Xinlong section will shorten driving time to the central and northern areas of CSGKC by more than 10 minutes.

The Yuyan Road Tunnel of Kaifang Avenue  officially opened to traffic on Dec 30, 2022. The main line of the Yuyan Road interchange node starts from the Kaichuang-Kaiyuan interchange and ends at the north intersection of the Kaiyuan Avenue Tunnel.

The tunnel at the intersection of Kefeng Road and Kelin Road in Guangzhou Science City was officially opened on Jan 3, 2023. The tunnel's main line is 440 meters long, and the two-way six-lane road passes under Kelin Road. The new tunnel is designed for a speed of 60 km/h.

The Yuzhu Tunnel is expected to be completed and open to traffic by the end of 2025. It is located in the center of the golden triangle of "Pearl River New Town- Guangzhou International Financial City - Pazhou", and is the longest immersed tunnel currently under construction in Guangzhou, which crosses the Pearl River twice.
