Huangpu identified as pilot city for industrial business

The 2022 Industrial Culture Development Conference and the 6th China Industrial Culture Summit Forum recently began in Huangpu district, Guangzhou.

At the meeting, Huangpu district and the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone were announced to be in the first batch of pilot cities to shape the image of Guangzhou's industrial sector. These pilot areas will create an image of a city's industry and together will build an image of an industrial province.

The Hongqi Tea Factory project based in the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone was also chosen to be in the fifth batch of national industrial heritage projects. This is the second project to be granted the national industrial heritage title created by Huangpu district and the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone.

Since 2008, a total of 30 representative items of intangible cultural heritage have been recognized in Huangpu district and the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone, including one at the national level, three at the provincial level, nine at the municipal level, and 17 at the district level.

At present, Huangpu district and the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone have gathered 1,247 industrial enterprises above the designated size, and in 2021, the total industrial output value has reached 877.1 billion yuan ($127.4 billion).
