Huangpu inks 2 high-tech cross-border investment project deals

On Dec 21, Huangpu district signed two high-tech cross-border investment project deals at the 2022 Global Investment Promotion Conference for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA).

At the conference, Hyundai Automotive Hydrogen Fuel Cell System (Guangzhou), Hengyun Enterprises, and GDD Communications Investment Group, signed a letter of intent for a joint venture. The three parties plan to cooperate to establish a hydrogen energy joint venture company to conduct business focusing on the commercialization of hydrogen energy.

Hyundai Motor Company is a pioneer in the commercial application of hydrogen energy and has more than 20 years of experience in R&D, mass production, and utilizing hydrogen fuel cell technology. As of November 2022, Hyundai Motor's hydrogen fuel cell technology has been used in 32,000 vehicles, which is the largest in the world.

Sartorius South China Customer Application and Innovation Center was another project deal signed by Huangpu on the same day.

Sartorius plans to set up the center on Guangzhou International Bio Island to provide services such as bioprocess development, which is expected to accelerate the development process of life sciences and bioprocesses, and help launch new and affordable medicines.

Sartorius' laboratory products and services focus on pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies' laboratories, as well as various scientific institutions, to provide scientists and laboratory staff members with sophisticated and reliable laboratory equipment and innovative solutions.
