Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for November 25, 2022

On November 25, Guangzhou reported 361 locally-acquired confirmed cases, among which 356 were found among people under centralized and mandatory home quarantine, and among people under closed-loop management. The rest five were found in district-wide PCR testing, during hospital visits, and among people with high exposure risks who were not under closed-loop management. Guangzhou also reported 7,058 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases, among which 6,962 were found among people under centralized and mandatory home quarantine, among people in high-risk areas, among close contacts, and among people under closed-loop management. The rest 96 were found in district-wide PCR testing, during hospital visits, in cross-district tracing, and among people with high exposure risks who were not under closed-loop management. Besides, 463 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases previously reported have turned into confirmed cases. In addition, Guangzhou reported 14 imported confirmed cases and 13 imported asymptomatic cases.

As of 24:00, November 25, 2022, a total of 130,057 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 20,285 confirmed cases (2,848 imported cases and 17,437 locally-acquired cases), among which 11,244 cases are still being treated in the hospital (11,014 with mild symptoms, 226 with ordinary symptoms, and 4 with severe symptoms). There are 109,772 asymptomatic cases (3,772 imported cases and 106,000 locally-acquired cases), among which 91,629 cases are still under medical observation.

The 14 imported confirmed cases are travelers from United Arab Emirates (5), Singapore (2), Saudi Arabia (1), the Netherlands (1), Thailand (1), Ethiopia (1), Oman (1), Morocco (1), and Vietnam (1). The 13 imported asymptomatic cases are travelers from United Arab Emirates (7), Cote d'Ivoire (1), Democratic Republic of the Congo (1), Ethiopia (1), Kenya (1), Oman (1), and Madagascar (1).
