Huangpu outstanding in country's top 100 comprehensive strength areas

Guangming Daily recently published the research results of the 2022 high-quality development index of China's small and medium-sized cities. Huangpu district ranked 7th among the top 100 areas in terms of comprehensive strength and 10th among the top 100 areas with great investment potential in the country.

Small and medium-sized cities refer to those with permanent residents of 100,000-1 million in urban areas.

The comprehensive strength index is based on six metrics: modern economic development, improvement of society and people's livelihoods, ecological environmental works, urban-rural integrated development, innovation-driven leadership, and social governance optimization.

According to the results of the evaluation, Huangpu ranks in the top tier of the 100 leading counties and cities and the top 100 districts in the country, contributing 9.33 percent and 11.52 percent of the national economic total, respectively.

The index is mainly used to represent the potential of cities in terms of their ability to attract investment.
