Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for November 14, 2022

On November 14, 2022, Guangzhou reported 147 locally-acquired cases, among which 88 were found among people under centralized quarantine, 44 were found among people under mandatory home quarantine, nine were found among people under closed-loop management, two were found in high-risk areas, two were found among close contacts, and two were found in district-wide PCR testing. Guangzhou also reported 4,977 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases, among which 1,082 were found among people under centralized quarantine, 3,708 were found among people under mandatory home quarantine, 134 were found in high-risk areas, 24 were found in district-wide PCR testing, 13 were found among people under closed-loop management, 12 were found among close contacts, three were found during a hospital visit, and one was found among people with high exposure risk. Besides, 405 locally-acquired asymptomatic cases previously reported turned into confirmed cases. In addition, Guangzhou reported eight imported confirmed cases and 19 imported asymptomatic cases.

As of 24:00, November 14, 2022, a total of 41,511 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 9,736 confirmed cases (2,759 imported cases and 6,977 locally-acquired cases), among which 4,714 cases are still being treated in the hospital. There are 31,775 asymptomatic cases (3,687 imported cases and 28,088 locally-acquired cases), among which 26,476 cases are still under medical observation.
