Huangpu offers hope of curing Mycosis

The treatment of Mycosis, a worldwide medical bottleneck, is expected to be solved in Huangpu district.

The GMP (Good manufacturing practice) laboratory of the R&D and manufacturing center of Class III medical devices built by Richardson Medical Fungal Laboratory Guangzhou Center recently settled in Guangzhou International Bio Island.

In the future, the laboratory will serve as a technology transformation platform to build an R&D and product manufacturing center focusing on auxiliary diagnostic products for deep fungal infections. It will also provide rapid detection services for deep fungal infections, as well as produce the first domestic antigen POCT product to bring better treatment effects to more patients.

The total area of the laboratory is about 900 square meters.

In the next step, it will be used to produce non-cultured fast tests for medical fungi, such as immunochromatographic bedside tests and molecular diagnostic products developed by Richardson Medical Fungal Laboratory. These products can provide a fast and accurate auxiliary diagnosis for clinicians to use medicines, with the technology already at a world-leading level.

The aforementioned products have begun the registration and certification process and are expected to obtain the necessary qualifications to enter the market in 2024.
