A number of projects in Huangpu district have made major progress recently from being capped to passing the completion acceptance stage.
Skyscraper Workshop, which is located south of Baoying Avenue, has passed the completion acceptance stage.
The workshop is a key construction project in Guangzhou, as it is also the first new industrial plant project with a high plot ratio and high mixing function in the western area of Guangzhou Development District and the Guangzhou-Hong Kong smart manufacturing special cooperation zone.
The project mainly focuses on the construction of international high-end smart manufacturing, with a total land area of about 59,000 square meters and a total construction area of 290,000 sqm. It will cover scientific and technological research and development, industrial production, scientific and technological innovation services, logistics and warehousing, offices, living accommodations, as well as other functions.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area National Institute for Nanotechnology Innovation (Guangna Institute) has settled in the Nano Biosafety Center.
It is a high-level innovation research institute jointly established by Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone and the National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, which settled in Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone in 2019.
Since its establishment, the institute has introduced five academician teams and nearly 20 outstanding young talents. It has gathered nearly 800 high-level scientific research teams, industrialized 22 major projects, incubated 12 high-tech enterprises, applied for 230 international and domestic patents, as well as built a full chain of nanotechnology innovations.
The Affiliated High School of South China Normal University (CSGKC Campus) is located in the South Start-up Area of CSGKC, covering a land area of 190,000 sqm and a total construction area of 300,000 sqm.
The construction of the school includes the learning and teaching center, academic exchange center, living center, sports center, basement, and auxiliary room, as well as overall outdoor engineering on the campus. The capping of the teaching building marks the completion of 30 percent of the overall project. It is expected that the first opening area will be completed in July 2023 and that the school will start to operate in September of the same year. The secondary opening area will be completed in July 2024.
It is expected to have 60 high school classes with a student population of 3,000, 18 junior high school classes with 900 students, as well as three naval junior aviation classes with 108 students, serving a total of 4,008 students in the school.
