Huangpu to build world's 1st unmanned hydrogen energy vehicle zone

HTWO Guangzhou signed a letter of cooperative intention with Guangzhou Hengyun Enterprises, a State-owned enterprise in Huangpu district, and Guangzhou Development District Communications Investment Group on Oct 25 to enhance the commercialization and application of the hydrogen energy industry.

At present, Huangpu is accelerating the layout of the entire hydrogen energy industry chain and this cooperation is expected to help form full coverage of the hydrogen energy industry chain.

According to the letter, the three parties will cooperate to establish a hydrogen energy joint venture to carry out four major businesses based in Guangzhou around the commercial application of hydrogen energy.

In the automotive field, they will sell hydrogen fuel cell systems based on Hyundai Motor Group Tech's technology adapted to the Chinese market, as well as provide services like system and vehicle engineering application integration and after-sales.

They will also innovate the supply chain cultivation model to bolster the hydrogen energy industry ecosystem, and provide hydrogen fuel cell car rental services to vehicle operating companies.

For multiple application scenarios of hydrogen energy, they will jointly develop innovative hydrogen energy application products, such as electric vehicle charging systems and backup power generation systems, using hydrogen fuel cell systems based on Hyundai Motor Group Tech's technology.

On the same day, HTWO Guangzhou, Guangzhou Hengyun Enterprises, and Guangzhou WeRide signed a framework agreement on hydrogen unmanned driving cooperation, in which the three parties will jointly build the world's first unmanned hydrogen energy vehicle demonstration zone in Huangpu district.

HTWO Guangzhou is Hyundai Motor Group Tech's world's first overseas hydrogen fuel cell system R&D, production, and sales base.
