2nd phase of Guangzhou Metro Line 7 nears completion

The left line tunnel between Kefeng Road and Luogang in the second phase of Guangzhou Metro Line 7 has recently been completed.

The second phase of Metro Line 7 starts from University Town South Station, and passes through Changzhou Island, Guangzhou Science City, and other areas, ending at Shuixi North Station. It spans a total length of about 22 kilometers, all of which are underground.

There are a total of 11 stations on the whole line, including seven interchange stations, where passengers can quickly transfer to Metro Lines 5, 6, 13, 21, and other lines, which will help satisfy the traffic demand in the north-south direction of the eastern area of Guangzhou.

To date, 83 percent of the civil works of the second phase of Metro Line 7 have been completed. Of the 11 stations, six have been capped and started mechanical and electrical construction, while five are undergoing civil construction.
