The Guangzhou Urban Mobility Service Autonomous Driving was recently selected to be in the first batch of Guangzhou intelligent transportation pilot application projects, covering autonomous driving and intelligent shipping.
The pilot project covers the trial application of autonomous driving urban travel services in Huangpu district, and Haizhu district, as well as the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone.
The pilot project in Huangpu district will include 50 self-driving buses covering the loop line of Guangzhou Tower and Guangzhou International Bio Island, with a cumulative operating mileage of no less than 1.5 million kilometers and serving no less than 1 million people.
In the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone, 210 self-driving passenger vehicles are expected to be used in this pilot, providing travel services for no less than 300,000 people, with a running mileage of no less than 4 million km and a running time of no less than 200,000 hours.
The pilot project is being implemented from August 2022 to December 2023.
