CSGKC heads towards transformation with knowledge economy

A forum on the second anniversary of implementing the Overall Development Plan for China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (2020-2035) was held at the CSGKC International Cooperation and Exchange Center on Aug 26.

CSGKC is the only State Council-approved pilot zone for comprehensive reform of the use and protection of intellectual property rights in the country, which is driving innovation and development with the knowledge economy.

Over the past two years, CSGKC has provided international first-class standard education, medical care, and commercial services. Since the implementation of the overall development plan, five primary and secondary schools were newly opened, three specialized hospitals were put into operation, and six libraries and three cultural centers were built. In addition, the urban built-up area in CSGKC has expanded from 16 square kilometers to more than 50 sq km.

After 12 years of rapid development, CSGKC has transformed into a model residential area in Guangzhou.
