Hanfu enthusiasts in Liantang village, Huangpu district.
On Aug 20, Huangpu district held an ancient village guofeng (or traditional Chinese style) camping festival event. A total of 50 hanfu enthusiasts walked around Liantang village, providing an immersive traditional culture experience for visitors.
Liantang village is an ancient Lingnan village with a history of more than 700 years. Among the 701 ancient relics in Huangpu district, Liantang village is home to 36. Its quaint and quiet streets, houses built near the water, as well as fragrant lotus ponds are full of rich historical and cultural heritage items.
The organizer set up different experiential areas according to the location of the village's ancient relics, such as the hand-painted area, the hanfu experience area, the hanfu photo area, and interactive game booths. The event also set up a dining and rest area.
Around the lotus pond, many people set up drawing boards to draw the beauty of the century-old ancient village. Many photography enthusiasts attended, recording the village's beautiful scenery and the festival's interesting activities. A traditional Chinese music concert was held to close the festival.
The festival was part of a series of cultural activities that Huangpu district has organized that will run until Sept 20.
