GDD enterprises highlights at 'Maker in Guangdong' competition

The venue for the 2022 "Maker in Guangdong" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on Intelligent Manufacturing final is set up on July 18.  

The final competition of the 2022 "Maker in Guangdong" SME Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on Intelligent Manufacturing was held in the Guangzhou Development District (GDD) on July 18.

The event attracted over 100 leading enterprises and scientific research groups involved in high-end medical equipment, new energy vehicles and intelligent agricultural equipment manufacturing to compete in the competition, and 12 teams from different enterprises and startups entered the finals. 

An expert panel chose one special prize, one first prize, and two second prizes in each group after evaluating the entries from angles such as technological competency and market outlook. 

Enterprises from the GDD won both the special and top prizes in the enterprise group. Guangzhou Guanghua Technology on intelligent power transmission won the special prize for intelligent power transmission while Guangdong Zkrot Technology and Guangzhou Heavy Goyo took home first prizes.

Chen Lei, chief information officer of Guangzhou Heavy Goyo, said that the company's rapid development is due to GDD's continuous and gradual support for scientific and technological innovation, which has further stimulated the company's innovative vitality.
