Nanotech industry on the rise in Huangpu

An academician consultation conference on nanotechnology (nanotech) innovation  in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area kicked off in Guangzhou's Huangpu district on July 17, casting eyes on a technology revolution and industry optimization.

The first batch of 88 world's leading achievements in the industrialization of nanotech was released during the event, showcasing the wide application of nanotech.

A medical nano robot developed by the GBA Research Innovation Institute for Nanotechnology, which was regarded as the most impressive achievement during the event, can realize direct intravenous injections of antitumor medicines for people and avoid hepatic metabolism, resulting little poisonous side-effect, said Zhang Tian, a team member of the medical DNA nano robot project.

A cutting-edge application of nanotech in radio frequency, 5G filter has been mass produced in Huangpu while it was once put into trial production in "China Nano Valley" in late 2020.

Over 20 academicians and experts also shared insights on constructing a highland for nanotech industry innovation during a forum held the same day.

Moreover, the strategic cooperation of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Nano-industry Innovation Alliance was signed. The alliance, leaded by key enterprises and institutes, aims to explore a collaborative new ecosystem for the nanotech industry by coordinating with upstream, mid-stream and downstream enterprises.
