Guangzhou COVID-19 Update for July 13

On July 13, Guangzhou reported 1 local confirmed case and 1 local asymptomatic case, 3 imported confirmed cases and 3 imported asymptomatic cases.

As of 24:00 July 13, 2022, a total of 6,277 positive cases have been reported in the city. These include 2,999 confirmed cases (2,031 imported cases and 968 local cases), among which, 64 cases are still being treated in hospital; and 3,278 asymptomatic cases (3,018 imported cases and 260 local cases), among which, 26 cases are still under medical observation.

Local Case and Local Asymptomatic Case Details

The local patient is a 26-year-old Chinese man who lives in Dalang Village, Baiyunhu Subdistrict, Baiyun District.

The asymptomatic patient is a 33-year-old Chinese man who lives in Yihe Lane, Jingxi Subdistrict, Baiyun District.

All these patients were detected in the PCR testing conducted for close contacts under quarantine, and have been transferred to Guangzhou No. 8 People's Hospital for quarantine and treatment. Their conditions are stable.

Report Immediately If You Have Been to Shangri-La Guangzhou

According to a report from outside Guangzhou on July 13, a COVID-19 patient's close contact has recently visited Haizhu District. For safety concerns, Shangri-la Guangzhou in Pazhou Subdistrict has been temporarily locked down.

If you have visited or stayed in Shangri-la Guangzhou (Address: No. 1 Huizhan East Road, Haizhu District) during the period from 17:00 on July 12 to 23:40 the day after, please immediately report such information to your community (village) committee, employer, and local CDC, and follow the safety protocols as required.( 24-hour service hotline: 020-61198011; 020-66850166)

Please stay updated with the latest official COVID-19 information, and do not start, believe, or spread any rumors. Take proper protective measures and monitor your health. If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms such as fever, dry cough, and loss of sense or smell , you should visit a hospital and tell your healthcare provider truthfully about your condition and recent travel history.
