China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City boosts education

The first building (Building F) of the Huangpu Research Institute project of Guangzhou University recently finished its main body construction. The project started construction in November 2021, while the first group of teachers and students is expected to be settled in September next year.

The estimated total investment of the project is about 3.8 billion yuan ($567 million). The main construction includes classrooms, experimental and practice rooms, libraries, indoor sports rooms, administrative office rooms, faculties and teachers' office rooms, canteens, student dormitories, as well as other campus buildings. After completion, it can meet the teaching, scientific research, living, and communication needs of 800 teaching and research personnel, as well as 5,000 students.

In addition to the Huangpu Research Institute of Guangzhou University, the Science and Education Innovation Park of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City has also introduced other universities for cooperation.

Recently, the Huangpu Research Institute of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies held a graduation ceremony for its first group of master's students. The Huangpu Institute for Advanced Study of the University of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences opened in September last year and introduced international postgraduate students. The Guangzhou Research Institute of Xidian University focuses on disciplines and majors like microwave communication, electronic information, and artificial intelligence, as well as explores the establishment of a joint training base for postgraduates.
