Huangpu demonstrates financial achievements at intl expo

The 11th China (Guangzhou) International Financial Transaction Expo was held in Guangzhou from June 24 to 26.

With the theme of "new vitality of Lingnan finance in the new digital economy era," the expo attracted 238 financial institutions. Agreements on 61 projects were signed, with the contracted amount reaching 215.64 billion yuan ($32.17 billion).

At this expo, Huangpu district fully demonstrated a series of major achievements made by its financial work in serving the real economy, preventing and controlling financial risks, as well as deepening financial reforms in recent years.

In 2021, the added value of the financial industry in the district reached 15.19 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 5.8 percent, with the growth rate at the forefront in Guangzhou. The total number of listed companies reached 73, ranking first in Guangzhou and first among national economic development zones. It is also home to 660 venture capital institutions, with the total scale of management funds being over 150 billion yuan.
