Huangpu cooperates with Macao in business registration

Huangpu district in Guangzhou has extended its cross-border business registration services to Macao and plans to co-build a national quality infrastructure one-stop service system with the region.

The Huangpu market supervision bureau signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Aoqing Technology Industry Service and China Merchants Bank Guangzhou Branch on May 27 to ensure convenient cross-border business services.

Under this new policy, if Macao investors intend to set up a business in Huangpu, they only need to submit the relevant application materials to the Macao branches of Guangzhou Aoqing Technology Industry Service for processing. The materials will then be transferred and submitted to authorities in Huangpu.

The Huangpu market supervision bureau has opened a green channel to provide efficient approval services. The entire registration process for Macao companies can be completed in less than nine days.

The bureau also signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Aoqing Technology Industry Service and the Quality Development Promotion Association of Guangzhou Development Zone to launch the construction of a shared national quality infrastructure one-stop service system with Macao.

Guangzhou and Macao will carry out in-depth cooperation on policy publicity, standard innovation, talent cultivation, and technical services to provide enterprises with comprehensive services related to quality infrastructure.

According to the agreement, the results of inspection and testing, certification, and accreditation released by authorities in Guangzhou and Macao will be mutually recognized, which will reduce market transaction costs and promote cooperation in other fields like talent cultivation and scientific research.

The cross-border service platform and the shared national quality infrastructure service system are expected to enhance the attractiveness of the business environment in Huangpu and improve quality standards in key fields in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to an international level.
