Lists of 103 potential enterprises to be listed and 14 high-quality intellectual property service institutes in Guangzhou Development District were released, local media outlets reported on May 11.

The lists were part of GDD's project on using IP to help enterprises get listed. The project is expected to gather advantageous resources of all parties in the district to offer IP-themed tutoring for local sci-tech enterprises who plan to be listed. The project is a national pioneer in terms of its service breadth and depth.

Detailed tutoring plans of the 14 institutes were showcased on the same day, enabling the enterprises and institutes to discuss potential cooperation.

These enterprises come from strategic emerging industries like biomedicine, new generation information technology, new materials, and new energy. Collectively, they own 8,037 patents and 3,014 valid invention patents. Eight of them have won the China Patent Award and 65 of them plan to get listed within the next three years.

Huang Rui of Yunzhou Biotechnology (Guangzhou), one of the enterprises on the list, said that the company is preparing for its initial public offering on the science and technology innovation board of the Shanghai Stock Exchange, adding that the district's IPR bureau has offered services to lower costs in the IPO.

Lin Haijun of the Guangzhou IPR bureau noted that the project will help bring more outstanding IPR services to boost enterprises' innovative development, as well as create a better business environment.
