The traditional calligraphy and painting mounting skills taught at Yiliang Studio in Huangpu Street community in Guangzhou's Huangpu district was listed as one of the district's fifth batch of intangible cultural heritages.
Mounting calligraphies and paintings is a traditional skill with a long history. It also includes processes such as cleaning and repairing ancient calligraphies and paintings.
After being mounted, calligraphies and paintings can be collected and preserved more conveniently, therefore, the mounting skill is vitally important for the protection and inheritance of cultural products.
