Huangpu schools laud provincial title for green development

Thirty-three schools in Guangzhou's Huangpu district were listed among the third batch of Guangdong Green Schools, according to the list released by the Department of Education of Guangdong Province on March 2.

Among them are Huangpu Tieying Middle School, Guangzhou Experimental School of Beijing Normal University, No 1 Primary School of Guangzhou Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone and the Huangpu Military Academy Primary School. 

Green schools refer to those that integrate sustainable development concepts into the campus' daily management. They will release a relevant mechanism for environment management, carry out effective education on environmental protection, create a cultural atmosphere encouraging students to protect the environment and let students and the faculty participate in sustainable development activities.
