3 Huangpu companies laud national tech innovation title

Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical is one of the companies listed among China's 28th batch of national company technological centers.

Hexin Analytical Instrument, Guangzhou Xiangxue Pharmaceutical and Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech were named among China's 28th batch of national company technological centers, local media outlets reported on March 2.

The list of national company technological centers is recognized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the General Administration of Customs and the State Taxation Administration. Domestic companies are assessed in sectors spanning innovative talents, technology accumulation, innovation platforms, technical output and innovation revenue. 

Encouragement and support are given by the country to companies in setting up technological centers and preferential policies are available to lead industrial backbone companies to promote industrial technologies and innovation capacity.

As of now, 18 companies in Huangpu have won the title of national company technological centers. Huangpu has formulated a strategic sci-tech innovation platform cluster and is home to over 1,000 scientific research institutions. It has a cluster of over 20,000 small and medium-sized sci-tech businesses, as well as over 3,500 national high-tech companies.

Nearly two-thirds of provincial high-level innovation research institutes in Guangdong province settled in Huangpu. Huangpu has attracted 1,204 high-caliber talents and 106 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering including Zhong Nanshan and Zhang Boli.
