23 Huangpu enterprises prominent in innovation

Twenty-three enterprises from Huangpu district made it on the 2021 ranking for the top 50 Guangzhou enterprises for innovation. The number ranks highest in Guangzhou.

The ranking was recently released by the Guangzhou Daily Data & Digit Institute. It assessed local enterprises with 50 inventions or more during the 2016-20 period in terms of invention number, patent authorization rate, internationalization, influence, and growth prospects.

Ninety percent of the top 50 enterprises are from emerging industries like advanced manufacturing, new-generation information technology, biology, new energy, new materials, energy conservation and environment protection, and high-end equipment manufacturing. 

The Huangpu entries included Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group, Shiyuan Electronic Technology, MINO Equipment, Tinci Materials Technology, Xpeng Motors, China Southern Power Grid, Kingfa Sci & Tech, GRGBanking, Ehang, and Medprin Regenerative Medical Technologies.

As a major driving force for Guangzhou's innovative development, the district is now home to more than 200 national R&D platforms, 28 national incubators, and more than 3,500 high-tech enterprises.
