Huangpu unveils plaque for talent work bureau

The plaque for the Huangpu talent work bureau was unveiled on Feb 18. It is the first district-level talent work bureau in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

So far, Huangpu has attracted 106 academicians and 1,204 high-level talents. This number ranks first in the city and among the top in the province. The local scientific and technological innovation capability has ranked first among all national economic and technological development zones for five consecutive years.

The plaque for the Huangpu talent work bureau is unveiled on Feb 18.

The district will make full use of its 6.6-billion-yuan ($1-billion) talent fund to matchmake capital and industrial chains. Dedicated apartments and parks as well as high-end educational and medical treatment resources will be provided for local talents. One-stop government services will be available both online and offline. 

Moreover, Huangpu launched a Talent Talk series event on Feb 18, inviting talents from all walks of life to share their innovation and entrepreneurship stories through routinized speeches, forums, and lectures.  

The great importance that Huangpu attached to talent work is sure to make the district a pioneer in the scientific and technological revolution, said Zhao Yuliang, an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
