Huangpu recognizes 26 exceptional craftsmen

The list for the 2020 Huangpu Craftsmen was recently released through enterprise recommendations, qualification verifications, expert reviews, and examinations.

Twenty-six diligent employees in Guangzhou's Huangpu district were recognized, 18 of which were cited for their skills and eight were cited for their technologies.

These specialists hail from a wide variety of industries including automobile manufacturing, transportation, biomedicine, electronic communication equipment manufacturing, and petrochemical equipment manufacturing.

Yang Tie of CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding, won the first prize in the skill category for the 2020 Huangpu Craftsmen list. He is an outstanding shipfitter and a national technical master-hand that enjoys a special State Council allowance.

Yang once took part in the refitting of an X75 shipborne dinghy and succeeded in enhancing its maneuverability and combat capability which could generate a direct economic benefit of more than 1 million yuan ($157,900).

The three first prize winners will each receive a reward of 300,000 yuan, the six second prize winners will each be rewarded 200,000 yuan, and the 17 third prize winners will each receive a reward of 100,000 yuan.
