The development of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) has accelerated due to the progress of several major projects.
The main structure of the Maritime Silk Road Culture and Sports Center was topped recently. With an investment of 352 million yuan ($55.48 million), it covers around 6,400 square meters east of Kaifeng Avenue and south of First Zhishi Road.

Once operational, it will supplement Greenland Being Fun City to satisfy the demands of high-end science and technology talents, as well as other local residents for cultural and recreational activities.
Jianxin International Hotel, the first four-star hotel in Jiufo sub-district, opened in early January. The 12-floor hotel boasts 190 guestrooms, more than 500 sq m of conference facilities, an all-day dining restaurant, fitness rooms, self-service laundry, as well as chess and poker game rooms.

Moreover, CSGKC Square was granted the title as the industrial park with the most potential by the Chamber of Commerce of Guangzhou Industrial Parks recently.
With 9.1 billion yuan in investment, the square covers an area of 197,000 sq m. It is comprised of office buildings for knowledge-intensive industries, high-end talent apartments, a convention and exhibition center, business areas, as well as supportive facilities.
