6 Huangpu private enterprises among China's most valuable

Six enterprises from Guangzhou's Huangpu district entered the list of Hurun China 500 Most Valuable Private Companies in 2021.

The list, which ranks the top 500 Chinese private enterprises based on their market value or estimated value, was released by the Hurun Research Institute on Jan 19.

Hurun Report Chairman Rupert Hoogewerf said that the companies from the Hurun China 500 are the "backbone" of China's private sector, wielding significant economic influence.

Xpeng, a local enterprise engaged in the design, R&D, manufacturing, and sales of electric vehicles, ranked 35th with a value of 263 billion yuan ($41.55 billion).

Guangzhou Tinci Materials Technology, which deals with the R&D, production, and sales of refined new chemical materials, was rated 112nd with a value of 122 billion yuan.

Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group, the largest third-party medical testing institution in China, ranked 301st with a value of 51 billion yuan.

Guangzhou Shiyuan Electronic Technology, a world leading supplier of liquid crystal display driver cards, placed 313rd in the ranking with a value of 49 billion yuan.

With a value of 34 billion yuan, Kingfa Sci & Tech and Blue Moon were tied for the 461st. The former is a world leading new materials enterprise and the latter is a leading provider of home cleaning solutions.
