Huangpu garners 31 China Patent Awards

Guangzhou's Huangpu district has recently garnered 31 China Patent Awards and 22 Guangdong Patent Awards.

Four of the 22nd China Patent Awards silver medals were granted to Guangzhou Jet Bio-Filtration, China Southern Power Grid's Electric Power Research Institute, Comba Telecom Systems Holdings and Glam Biotechnology. In addition, 27 enterprises from Huangpu received honorable mentions of the 22nd China Patent Awards.

China Southern Power Grid's Electric Power Research Institute also won gold medals of the 8th Guangdong Patent Awards along with CVTE and Daan Gene.  Moreover, the district received six silver medals and 13 honorable mentions of the 8th Guangdong Patent Awards.

Huangpu has established an IP financial service center as part of its IP exertion and protection development efforts. 

This year marks the 5th anniversary of Huangpu's comprehensive reform and trial in intellectual property rights exertion and protection. Over the past five years, local patents have increased from 13,900 to 35,200, and the annual patent authorization has increased from 6,700 to 22,600.

As of now, Huangpu has garnered a total of 255 China Patent Awards and Guangdong Patent Awards. The district's number of authorized invention patents ranks first among national economic development zones.
