Burning Rock Biotech's new headquarters sparks precision oncology operations

Burning Rock Biotech's new headquarters building began operations on Guangzhou International Bio Island on Nov 22.

Burning Rock Biotech is a national high-tech enterprise that focuses on the application of next-generation sequencing technology in the field of precision oncology.

With a floor area of nearly 20,000 square meters, the headquarters building is the largest Burning Rock Biotech office building in the world. It boasts a lab space of 12,000 sq m for high-throughput sequencing, early cancer detection, and gene testing kit production.

In addition to the headquarters building, Huangpu's biomedicine industry also heralded further progress with the signing of two heavyweight cooperation agreements.

Guangzhou Hi-tech Investment Group, the team led by academician Liao Wanqing, and Richardson Bio-Tech signed a cooperation agreement on the establishment of a fungal disease prevention and control technology transformation research institute on Nov 17.

Guangzhou KingMed Diagnostics Group, a leading third-party clinical testing company in Huangpu, inked a cooperation agreement with Gilead Sciences, one of the world's top 500 enterprises, to discover breakthroughs in hepatitis diagnosis and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) testing.
